Welcome to BII Journal

I’m ready to finally get my life back.

After much deliberation and encouragement from loved ones, I’ve decided to open up about my health—and the major surgery I have scheduled for June 12th.

I’ve been increasingly, chronically sick for nearly two decades. And if sharing my story helps even one person… then f*** embarrassment. My ego can kindly step aside.

So what’s going on?
Breast Implant Illness (BII).

Maybe you’ve heard of it. Maybe this is a first.
Maybe you’re wondering why holistic-loving, non-plastic-y Amber got implants at all.
Maybe you—or someone you love—has implants and wants real information.
Maybe you’re just curious.

If so, please stick around.

What is BII?
BII (Breast Implant Illness) is a complex, often dismissed condition affecting hundreds of thousands—if not millions—of women around the world.

Symptoms are numerous but often include:
- Fatigue
- Brain fog
- Autoimmune flares
- Joint pain
- Anxiety, weight gain, skin issues, headaches, hair loss...
...and a constant sense that something is just not right (even if the labs keep telling you that nothing is wrong)

While BII is still controversial in some medical circles, the harm is undeniable. The stories are piling up. Women are getting sick. And finally—some doctors are starting to pay attention.

We need:
• Doctors to stop pushing unnecessary plastics (yeah, not holding my breath)

• Beauty standards to chill the f*** out (a colossal task that we can only battle through our own self-love)

• Plastic surgeons to stop telling 18-year-olds with congenital deformities that silicone is the only path to wholeness (a personal story I’ll be sharing soon)

I’ll be diving into all of it on this new website as I approach my explant surgery on 6/12/25. (Bye-bye toxic tits.)

Introducing: BIIjournal.com

Slow launching over the weeks leading up to surgery, BIIjournal.com and it’s socials are a safe space I created to share information, document my journey, and invite others to share theirs.

Think of it as a digital journal, community, and resource hub for Breast Implant Illness:
📖 Honest, real-life stories
📚 Educational content
🩺 Explant Surgeons and resources
💌 Healing tools I’ve used and plan to use (yes, affiliate links, only for things I trust)
🤍 A space to feel seen—publicly or anonymously

Reading others’ stories in private FB groups changed my life. I want to pay that forward.

Shame, confusion, isolation—these are not things we should carry alone.

If you're one of the many silently suffering or trying to heal… I hope this space helps you feel less alone. And if you're simply curious and supportive—thank you for being here.

In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing:

  • My full story (“Why did I get implants?”)

  • Accounts of how BII has affected quality of life

  • Honest updates pre- and post-implant removal surgery (called “explant”)

  • Educational posts about BII, silicone poisoning, rupture, surgery, detox, and healing

  • The healing tools I’m personally using and loving

  • And if bravery wins: Real stories submitted by others

You don’t have to stay sick forever.

You are not alone. You are not making it all up.

We can heal. Stick around. Let’s tell the truth together.

If you’re interested in following my journey out of the fog and into health, please sign up for the newsletter, and/or follow me on IG (@biijournal.com_ig) and TikTok(@biijournal.com) where I’ll soon be braving the world of video content in my attempts to reach other women like me.

To Your Health,
xo Amber
